Decorate an existing side table or one of a thrift store using a creative painting method to make a cute and inexpensive alternative that fits your home decorating needs.

A blackboard table is cute and functional. The paint of the legs and the sides of the table of any color that matches the decoration of your room. To create a floral inspiration table, start with a solid color base. For example, paint the table a yellow or light cream. Next, use a fine brush to paint vines and stems of the flowers up the legs of the table. On the sides of the table, paint the heads of the flowers, using colors that match the color scheme of the room. Add more flowers at the top of the table. Include butterflies, bees, and ladybugs for a complete garden look. If you want to add a three-dimensional element to the table, place heads of silk flowers to the table at the ends of the stems using hot glue or a staple gun.
